Dan Bilzerian is Taking His Cannabis Company Public

January 16, 2018

Dan Bilzerian, a.k.a. the King of Instagram, just announced that he'll be taking his cannabis company public next month!

We should have seen it coming when ALQ Gold Corp. (CSE:ALQ) signed an agreement "to acquire certain intellectual property rights for use of the name, approved photographs, approved images, voice, and approved likenesses of Dan Bilzerian exclusively within the cannabis industry worldwide."

ALQ Gold Corp. is already a publicly-listed company on the CSE, although the exchange's website says the company is "Halted Pending Fundamental Change."

We're expecting to see a name change to Green Axis Capital Corp., Bilzerian's new cannabis brand, which will focus on opportunities in the rapidly growing marijuana market.

What is Green Axis?

While Bilzerian's recent "R&D" tweet shows him blasting a dab torch, ALQ Gold's December press release gives us hints of what's to come.

Alongside ALQ Gold's acquisition of the Dan Bilzerian name, intellectual property, and likeness (as it relates to cannabis), ALQ also made another interesting investment. ALQ acquired a $500,000 stake in Salvation Botanicals Ltd.

You might be asking - what is Salvation Botanicals

Salvation is a private British Columbia company, which is involved in the production of high quality standardized cannabinoid products for Licensed Producers, and operates one of the first analytics laboratories in Canada, accredited by Health Canada to test cannabis and derivatives for growers, approved cannabis patients, industrial hemp producers, and any other party legally entitled to possess cannabis.

Salvation holds a Narcotic Dealer’s Licence, allowing contract extract production, with authority to extract and produce oil, capsules and tinctures within Health Canada guidelines. In 2016 Health Canada granted Salvation a Hemp Processing License permitting production and sale of seed & grain derivatives.

It is planned that Salvation will produce certain products on behalf of Green Axis to bring Dan Bilzerian’s brands to market in Canada in time for the launch of recreational sales and other global jurisdictions that have legal medical marijuana legislation and suitable import laws.

For those wondering how long they'll have to wait for Green Axis, our answer is not long...

Just last week, the company hosted its brand launch party at the 8,000 square foot Drai’s Vancouver nightclub in the Trump International Hotel & Tower. While we did not attend the event, we can imagine just how lavish it was based on Bilzerian's prior visits to Canadian night clubs.
