Cannabis Benchmarks recently released its Weekly Report for the week ending December 22nd, 2017. As we can see in the chart they've provided, the spot price-per-pound of cannabis in the United States experiences a slight bump leading into Christmas.
While the volume weighted average price of cannabis inched up about 2% to finish the week at $1,431 per pound, the simple average (non-volume weighted) price increased $89 to $1,691 per pound. "In grams, the Spot price was $3.15, and the simple average price was $3.73."
This holiday bump in prices was also seen leading into the week of April 20th, a.k.a. 4/20, which is a sign of the spike in demand experienced by cannabis retailers when a larger number of people are celebrating.
