The total number of Health-Canada approved licensed producers has risen to 84 today, with the approval of two new Ontario-based cultivators.
On December 28th, MediWanna and PureSinse Inc. were both approved as licensed producers of medical marijuana under Health Canada's Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulation, a.k.a. ACMPR.
At the moment, there is very little information available about MediWanna. The company's website says "Opening Soon," however it does mention that "Mediwanna unlocks each strain's full Cannabinoid profile." As the text scrolls, the site also says that it's going to be "Perfectly Cured Quality Cannabis products," "Grown with Passion by experienced Master Growers," "Supplied to customers who understand and appreciate the difference in Premium Quality."
Health Canada does not yet list any contact information for the new LP, however a Canadian trademark for "MediWanna" filed back on Thursday, July 13, 2017 gives an address of the applicant:
231 Simpson Ave. South
Bowmanville Ontario, Canada
PureSinse is a self-described "Agri-Biotech start-up with a speciality in soil-less pesticide-free cannabis cultivation."
The company was founded in 2014 by a pharmacist, a physician, a business professional, and an agricultural biotechnologist with a vision to build a successful venture in the burgeoning medical marijuana marketplace.
According to the company's website, "PureSinse is offering accredited investors a ground-floor opportunity" to invest. While Health Canada also has no contact information for the company, they've listed all of that information on their website.
