It's important to note whenever one of your current or prospective portfolio holdings is participating in major investor conferences. First and foremost, the increased awareness garnered by these conferences can move stock prices. Secondly, the companies participating usually have one of their top executives giving an overview of their company and what's to come.

Intec Pharma Ltd. (NASDAQ:NTEC) (TASE:NTEC) just announced that the company's management will be participating in the 19th Annual Rodman & Renshaw Global Investment Conference to be held from September 10th-12th, 2017 at Lotte New York Palace Hotel in New York City. Jeffrey A. Meckler, Chief Executive Officer of Intec Pharma is expected to present on Tuesday, September 12th, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. EST. For those who will be unable to attend this conference, Mr. Meckler’s presentation will be webcast live and can be accessed on the Investor Relations section of the Intec’s website.

While there will be a handful of other biotech companies participating in the conference, we'll be attending the conference to see what else we can learn about Intec Pharma. Intec Pharma is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing drugs based on its proprietary Accordion Pill platform technology. Currently, Intec's product pipeline includes two product candidates in clinical trial stages. The one we're most interested in learning more about is the company's AP-CBD/THC, an Accordion Pill containing cannabidiol (a.k.a. CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (a.k.a. THC), which is being developed for various indications including neuropathic pain and fibromyalgia.
