AusCann Group Holdings (ASX:AC8) (OTC:ACNNF) is in the business of manufacturing and distributing medical marijuana in Australia.
AusCann is one of few companies with a license to manufacture medical marijuana, making it extremely valuable. Yesterday's interview with Elaine Darby, Managing Director at AusCann, shed some light on the company's partnership with Tasmania Alkaloids, Canopy Growth Corp. (TSX:WEED) (OTC:TWMJF) and more.

Formerly owned by Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ), Tasmania Alkaloids is one of the worlds largest producers of opioids. As for AusCann's partnership with Canopy, the company currently imports medical marijuana from Canopy Growth Corp, a major Canadian Licensed Producer. Darby expects the Australian market to take off at a more rapid rate that Canada's given how much they've been able to learn from their North American counterparts.
