This weekend, Canopy Growth Corp. (TSX:WEED)(OTC:TWMJF) released a 'Domestic Expansion Update'. This update follows last week's update regarding the company's foreign operations.
Here's some of the highlights.
rTrees Producers Limited, operating as Tweed Grasslands, received their cultivation license from Health Canada. Production is set to begin next month, with the facility expected to be fully operational by mid-2018.
The expansion at the Mettrum facility in Bowmanville, Ontario has been completed and licensed by Health Canada.
At the Smiths Falls Campus, the company has completed a expansion of flowering space and launched industrial-scale CO2 super-critical extraction.
Canopy has commenced construction on another 300,000 sq. ft. of production space at Smiths Falls Campus (subject to Health Canada approval).
The company has entered into an agreement to acquire a 100,000 sq. ft. facility in Fredericton, New Brunswick with the intention of launching a Tweed facility for indoor production in New Brunswick.
They anticipate closing on the supply agreement and sale of Mettrum (Bennett North) Ltd. to LiUNA- backed Cannabis Care Canada soon.
The Vert Cannabis application in St. Lucien, Quebec has advanced to the pre-license inspection stage of the ACMPR application process.
