Canveda Inc. is by far the most under the radar of the three recently licensed LPs. We are actively searching to find more about this private Ontario-based LP, but right now, that's about all we know.
International Herbs Medical Marijuana Ltd.
International Herbs Medical Marijuana was formed through a partnership with International Herbs Ltd., a British Columbia based specialty produce and herb grower and Opportunities New Brunswick. The company received a $4 million CAD loan from the government of New Brunswick in order to build its facility in Atholville, New Brunswick. In addition to getting investment from the provincial government, International Herbs Medical Marijuana also got $3 million CAD in funding from Listuguj First Nation. International Herbs is not the only Licensed Producer that counts a First Nations Government among their investors, as DelShen Therapeutics received a $2 million CAD investment from the Wahogoshig First Nation.
Sundial Growers Inc.
Like International Herbs Medical Marijuana, Sundial Growers got their start in the produce space before they shifted to medical marijuana in 2013. Cannabis Wheaton (TSXV:CBW) owns approximately 18.35% of Sundial Growers. The company recently sold 2,049,600 shares at a price of $1.25 CAD in an exempt market offering.
