It's a pretty quiet day in the cannabis-related equity markets today. News is slow, and volatility has calmed across our global marijuana stock universe. That said, there are a few companies we'll be keeping an eye on as we finish out this week's trading.
mCig Inc. (OTC:MCIG) & Player's Network Inc. (OTC:PNTV)
This morning, mCig and Player's Network announced the phase 1 completion of Green Leaf Farms Holdings' North Las Vegas Facility. Green Leaf Farms is a subsidiary of Player's Network that contracted mCig to complete the first phase of development. In early trading Friday, shares of mCig are rising more than 6%, while shares of Player's Network are down nearly 3% on the day. We'll be watching to see how shares of both companies finish out the day's (and week's) trading.
Newstrike Resources Ltd. (TSXV:HIP)
So far in their second day of trading, shares of Newstrike Resources are down more than 7%. Today's downside move comes after a positive first day of trading where shares finished up roughly 9%. We'll be watching to see how Newstrike Resources finishes out the day's trading.
Organigram Holdings Inc. (TSXV:OGI)(OTC:OGRMF)
Last night after the market close, Organigram announced that the company has completed its previously announced acquisition of Canadian medical cannabis clinic, Trauma Healing Centers. Shares of Organigram are flat on the TSX-V and up roughly 0.75% on the OTC Markets as of early trading Friday. We'll be watching to see if volume and volatility picks up in Organigram shares as the day goes on.
