In midday trading today, the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada ("IIROC") has announced that shares of Marapharm Ventures Inc. (CSE:MDM)(OTC:MRPHF) have been halted at the request of the company pending the release of news.
Before the halt, shares of MDM on the Canadian Securities Exchange were trading at $1.25 CAD, down 3.10% from their close on Wednesday. Marapharm's OTC Markets symbol was last traded at $0.9068, down 5.54% from the previous close.
This morning, Standard Graphite Corp. (TSXV:SGH) announced that they have entered into an LOI to acquire Marapharm's late stage ACMPR applicant subsidiary. We'll be watching to see if today's halt in Marapharm Ventures is related to this news.
