The wait is almost over! Currently there's only one medical marijuana dispensary in the State of Delaware, but that's about to change.
As the first state to ratify the Constitution, one would have thought Delaware would be quicker to get the ball rolling with medical marijuana. Handfuls of delays have caused the state's second dispensary to open a bit later than expected, but better late than never!
Right now, medical marijuana patients that live in southern Delaware have a pretty long drive to the one and only existing dispensary. The First State Compassion Center in Wilmington, DE is the only option for patients until the company's second location opens up in Lewes.
They're expecting "around 500 patients to open with" and that number is set to grow. The dispensary is run by Mark Lally, a former Delaware State Trooper. Lally knows the locals will be curious about what's going on inside, but unfortunately the dispensary is not open to everybody.
Unless you're a patient, you won't be able to tour this beautiful new dispensary...so check out the video below!
