There's great news for the people of Argentina suffering from a variety of different medical conditions, as the Argentine Senate just finally gave legislative approval for medical cannabis oil. This gives patients more treatment options, and therefore more freedom to take control of their own treatment.
This bill will officially become a law as soon as Argentina's President Mauricio Macri signs it. The bill was sponsored by the Cambiemos party, who nominated Macri in the August 2015 primary elections.
This legislative reform in Argentina comes as a victory for those suffering from a wide range of conditions, as well as parents of children suffering from epilepsy and more.
Treating these conditions with cannabinoids is far better than anything the pharma industry is putting out, and the people of Argentina will finally have legal access.
Beyond the legalization of cannabis oil for medical purposes, the new bill also lets governments agencies cultivate cannabis for research purposes.
