Today's Marijuana Stock Gainers - March 21st, 2017

During today's North America trading sessions, markets trended downward, with U.S. markets performing worse than their Canadian counterparts. The Dow closed Monday's trading down 237.85 points, the biggest loss since the election in November. The NASDAQ Composite finished flat, and the TSX Composite closed down 0.84% or 129 points.


It wasn't all bad, as many stocks in the cannabis space did not feel the negative impact around the markets. Overall, these specific stocks outperformed the broad market indices.

AXIM Biotechnologies, Inc. (OTC:AXIM)


Shares of AXIM Biotechnologies responded positively to their announcement regarding research on cannabinoid treatments for dry eye, gaining 3.86% in today's trading session. AXIM closed Tuesday's trading at $11.30, on higher volume than their 30-day average trading volume. 


India Globalization Capital, Inc. (NYSE:IGC)


India Globalization Capital shares did well in today's trading following their earlier announcement of a patent filing. IGC closed Tuesday's session at $0.40 up 8.11% from their previous close of $0.39. Trading volume today was higher than their 30-day average volume of 304,000 shares. 


mCig, Inc. (OTC:MCIG)


mCig shares closed today's trading at $0.271199 per share on lower volume than their 30-day average trading volume. Versus MCIG's previous close of $0.2327, mCig shares gained 16.54% the day. 


OWC Pharmaceutical Research Corp. (OTC:OWCP)


Shares of OWCP closed today's trading at $1.31 per share on lower volume then their 30 day average. Versus OWC Pharmaceutical's previous close of $1.30, OWCP shares gained 0.77% on the day.


22nd Century Group, Inc. (NYSE:XXII)

22nd Century Group shares responded positively to the release of their annual letter to stockholders. XXII closed Tuesday's trading session at $0.98, up 3.16% from their previous close of $0.95. Today's trading volume was more than double the 30-day average volume of 845,000 shares.
