Many in Florida were excited when Amendment 2 passed in November in support of medical marijuana legalization. Now, many of these same people are not so happy regarding the way that legislators are making the rules.
In Florida right now, there is an effort to have each case go before the Florida Board of Medicine to determine eligibility for treatment by medical marijuana. This would be a step in the wrong direction for Florida's medical marijuana program by taking control away from the physician and putting it in the hands of politicians instead.
That decision is best left between the physician and the patients/parents. If you agree with us, be sure to go share your opinion on Wednesday at the Florida Department of Health's Tampa Branch Laboratory between 9 AM and 11 AM EST as they hold a rule making meeting.
