Background:
The recent Arizona Republic/Morrison/Cronkite News poll that was just done showed that half of those surveyed (with 4% m.o.e.) support some sort of system being put in place in Arizona to regulate and tax the sale of marijuana as part of Arizona Prop. 205. Taxing marijuana sales in Arizona could bring in major dollars for towns, counties, and of course the state.
Digging Into the Numbers:
Based on the data reported, we know a few things about respondents and their views on marijuana:
The younger the voter, the more likely they are to be in favor of Arizona's Prop. 205. With voters age 18-35 being nearly 75% in favor of Prop. 205, they are by far the more supportive group when divided by age.
The Democratic voters are the most supportive of the proposition when divided by party, with Independents trailing close behind.
