How To Price Your Dispensary's T-Shirts

  

A lot of medical marijuana dispensaries or retail marijuana stores have tees with their logo or design on them. They can be a great marketing tool, as well as an additional revenue stream for your dispensary. However, not all dispensary operators agree on how to price their t-shirts. 

 

Dispensary operators and managers seem to have opposing views. While there are many different t-shirt pricing models we have seen, there seems to be two main camps.

Some dispensary operators like to give their t-shirts away for free to new customers or frequent customers. If the customer wears your dispensary's t-shirt, they are essentially a walking billboard.

 

Even if they just wear in around the house, giving away free t-shirts with your dispensary logo on them is a great way to build dispensary loyalty. With the competition becoming saturated in some areas, medical marijuana dispensaries and retail marijuana stores must take the extra step to securing long-term customer/patient loyalty. Everyone loves free stuff!

 

As long as you are buying the custom shirts at a low enough price custom dispensary t-shirts can be low-cost customer acquisition method. A free t-shirt to provide incentive for new customers to come in is a great way to implement this. However, too many free shirts given away and you start to eat into your business' margins.

The best of both worlds is to do both! Use free t-shirts through various promotions as a means of customer acquisition and to build customer loyalty to your dispensary. In addition, sell shirts too! If customers like and are willing to buy your dispensary's t-shirts then by all means sell t-shirts for an additional revenue stream beyond marijuana and marijuana products.

Do not sell your dispensary t-shirts for a high price. Selling your t-shirts at a higher price puts you in direct competition with your customers' favorite clothing brand for their spending money.

 

By selling your t-shirts at a lower price, you make it an easy up-sell item to be added onto purchases boosting ticket size. Don't forget - these dispensary t-shirts are marketing, so don't make people pay too much to market your business!
